摘要

<正> 虚拟语气是个比较复杂的语法现象,各家语法书的讲解法不一。《电视英语》采用传统语法。因此,本文按传统语法对虚拟语气略作介绍。虚拟语气(the Subjunctive Mood)主要用于表示主观愿望和假想虚拟的情况。如: I wish I knew most of the foreign languages. If you were standing today on the Acropolis ofAthenes,you could see the modern city below you andthe blue Mediterranean not far away.(下册p.485)
