Air pollution in China is dominated by coal smoke pollution. Air pollution and control aretherefore focused on the control of CO_2 and particulate emission resulting from coal combustion. The articleproposes some countermeasures for preventing and controlling coal combustion related air pollution basedupon the overall requirements of China''s environmental protection.
