<正> question 一词的使用频率较高,但常会因使用不当而引起歧义。下面是常易被误用的问题: 1.out of question 表示“毫无疑问”,而 out of the question 表示“不可能”。前者作状语,而后者用作表语,不可混淆。 Without a passport,leaving the country is out of the question. 没有护照,离开这个国家是不可能的。 Out of question,he got the first place in the speech contest. 毫无疑问,他在演讲比赛中得了第一名。 2.there is no question of 表示“不可能”,而 there is no questionabout(或 as to)表示“毫无疑问”,意思相反。
