摘要

In the presence of methyl iodide, metallic ytterbiu m can easily react with allylic bromide in anhydrous THF to form ally lyt-terb ium bromide, which reacts readily wfih imines to give the corresponding homoallylamines in satisfactory yiekds under mild and neutral conditions.
