摘要

Active networks, faced with the problem that the nodes of traditional packet networks are close and transmit packets passively,propose the thought of network computing,let network nodes intelligent and open, and make it possible to introduce new network architecture and services in time.Meanwhile, this challenges the architecture ,scalability ,and security of traditional packet networks. Herediscussed are the research background, architecture,implementation, development direction and hot issues of active networks.
