Status Report on 600 kV Cockroft-Walton Accelerator

摘要

<正> Some experiments were performed on this accelerator in 2002 year.14 MeV neutrons produced by 600 kV cockroft-walton accelerator are provided for some reactions. The (n, a) and (n, 2p) reactions are very useful for producing heavy neutron-rich nuclei in region not accessible from fission. Especially the (n, 2p) icaction, this exotic reaction mechanism, is more important for producing heavy neutron-rich nuclei. This year the experiments 189W was produced by using 192Os(n, a) 189W reaction, 185Hf was produced by using 186W(n, 2p)185Hf reaction. Then the decay of 189W and 185Hf was studied.
