As important commodities in the international agro products trade, the vegetables possess potentials of multidimensional and multiple-angle market development and trade revaluation. The current total output of Chinese vegetables approximately accounts for 47% of the global total while the vegetable consumption per capita in China is 2.28 times of the global average consumption. The vegetable export belongs to labour intensive industry. As Chinese rural areas are rich in labour resources, the advantage of developing vegetables production is obvious. Therefore, China has fairly large capacity and potential for vegetables export.
