Are you sure they would want to,having seen what happened to the hibernating1 crews in the films 2001 and Alien2? Slumbering3 the months and years of tedious intergalactic journeys4 away in a hibernation chamber may be a staple5 of science fiction, but there is little prospect of real life astronauts doing it in the foreseeable future, although, strictly speaking, that doesn't create much of a problem because manned missions to any destination far enough away to require it are just as distant.
