摘要

At 9:30 in the morning Beijing Time on July 272004, Tibetan mountaineers, charged with climbing the world's 14 peaks each higher than 8,000 meters, reached the surmTnit of Chogori (8,611 meters) from Pakistan.This is the first time for Chinese to reach the top of the second highest peak in the world, which is located in the Karakorum mountain chain on the border between China and Pakistan.
