THE names and images printed on Chinese cigarette boxes are often cruelly ironic.Popular brand Double Happiness carries a tiny health warning on the side of a 20-cigarette pack. Many Chinese shopkeepers deal excusively in cigarettes,with phone cards and bottled water as seasonal diversions. Utterly colorful,these tiny streetside cigarette shops are often operated out of a bedroom window. Many use their wares to create delicate ornamental window displays.
