This book, devoted to the 250th anniversary of Lomonosov Moscow State University, founded in 1755, is written by the well-known Moscow University professor and geoscientist, Academician Evgeny E. Milanovsky. The life and work of the author has been connected to the University for more than six decades so that he has known many of the scientists personally, as teachers, instructors, colleagues, and friends.
