<正>PricewaterhouseCoopers: Expect More Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) PricewaterhouseCoopers partner Xie Tao says that though large buyouts by foreign firms are likely to face delays in the approval process until new government policies are clarified, the implementation of the new regulations will increase transparency and encourage them to plan for more M&A. Xie says, 'The Chinese M&A market is heading towards maturity. Diverse dealmakers are investing more and more in this market. M&A help companies reshuffle, and benefit the industry as a whole. Meanwhile, the Chinese government likes M&A because they also provide opportunities for Chinese companies to invest overseas. So we have every reason to expect more of such activity in 2007.'
