1 Brief Introduction of Project 1.1 General The Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway is from Beijing South Station to Shanghai Hongqiao Station with a total length of 1,318 km. The railway will have a total of 21 stations including Beijing South Station, Tianjin West Station, Ji'nan West Station, Nanjing South Station and Hongqiao Station. The design speed is 350 km/h and the speed of initial stage operation is 300 km/h.
