摘要

On October 11,2004,International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) ,World Health Organization (WHO) and European Federation of IASP-Chapters (EFIC) launched the"Global Day Against Pain"program in Geneva,Switzerland. Afterward,global year against pain,a year-long event aiming at promoting awareness of different aspects of pain problems, began (see website:http://www.iasp-pain.org) .It started with the Global Year of Right to Pain Relief in 2005,followed by Global Years Against Pain in Children in 2006,in Elderly People in 2007 and in Women in 2008.In succession,Global Years Against Cancer Pain and Against Musculoskeletal Pain was and will be also launched for the year-long campaign in 2009 and in 2010,respectively.
