摘要

<正>In the vast rural areas of Tibet there are many simple religious shrines.Though these sites are not as splendid and their Buddha statues are not as elaborate as those kept in monasteries,the buttered lamps used for worship by locals remain alight around-the-clock because villagers come to pray there all the year around.
