<正>The sublime is an inexhaustible source of discussion.From early discussion of 'sublime in theory' to 'sublime in rhetoric',and then to poetry,the technique undergoes much explanation by people as Edmund Burke and Samuel Monk.Sublime gains its popularity in the eighteenth century literature,especially in the works of Romantic poets,such as Wordsworth and Shelley.They tried to gain transcendence in sublime,but the result remains to be discussed by later people.Even today, the Sublime remains as an open question for us to discuss.
