摘要

<正>THE ancient town of Pingyao sits in Shanxi Province in North China, about 100 kilometers from the provincial capital of Taiyuan. This famous town with a history stretching more than 2,700 years is one of the best preserved ancient sites in China and was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.
