[Objective] The paper was to study the population dynamics and agent control effect against Chionaspis subcorticalis Green. [Method] The population dynamics of C. subcorticalis in Ganzhuang of Yuanjiang County in Yunnan Province were investigated, 750 and 1 500 times liquid of buprofezin and 1 000 times liquid of methidathion were used to control C. subcorticalis. [Result] It was the main spawning period of C. subcorticalis in Ganzhuang from the end of March to the middle of April, 1 000 times liquid of methidathion had the best integrated control effect against C. subcorticalis. [Conclusion] The proper control period against C. subcorticalis in Ganzhuang was from the end of March to the middle of April, and methidathion could be selected to control the pest.
