摘要:
The archaeological evidence shows that there were at least two textile establishments in Nippur during the Ur ⅢI period:one was associated with the Inanna Temple, which +Zettler studied in his book The Ur Ⅲ Temple of Inanna at Nippur1,and the other is considered to be a private textile workshop from where it comes a collection of 47 textile texts included by Hattori into the Um-mi-da-bad5 archive2.It is interesting that the only business partner of Um-mi-da-bad5 was a local scribe named Lugal-ma2-gur8-re.This article focuses on Lugal-ma2-gur8-re,who left us a total of 60 textile texts where he names 8 business parsers.Through studying those texts and his business associates, the present article aims to achieve a better understanding of how Lugal-ma2-gur8-re conducted his daily work.
