Questions on Developing College-level Education on Human Rights:——Concerning the implementation of the National Human Rights Action Plan of China

Education on human rights touches many aspects of society.During the process of promoting human rights education,we should emphasize the development of human rights education at the college level.The National Human Rights Action Plan of China (2009- 2010),the first of its kind,calls on "institutions of higher learning to carry out research and teaching conceming theories of human rights." It requires "selecting several universities to survey human tights education;cultivating human tights expertise and mapping out a human rights education blueprint;offeting elective courses on human rights for all undergraduates and courses on human rights law for law major undergraduates;developing teaching materials and courseware as well as building educational and gaining centers by selecting some colleges to serve as bases for human rights education.Predictably,the National Human Rights Action Plan of China (2012-2015)i will use the above-mentioned ways to develop college-level education on human rights.Therefore,this article discusses several questions in this regard.
