For years, EU, US and Japan have been the three most important apparel importing markets in the world. Since the financial crisis happened in 2008, the apparel import of the three markets has slowed down because of the weak domestic consumption. In the meantime, some international brands moved their orders from China to some other Asian emerging countries who have the lower labor cost than China. Based on the International Trade Statistics released by WTO, this article analysed the apparel import structure of EU, US and Japan in detail, as well as the impact on China.
