摘要

This paper introduced fossil resources,geographical settings and significance of Zigong Global Geopark.In addition,in the long history of local well salt production,remarkable ten great science and technology inventions were created,and numerous well salt production relics were perfectly preserved,thus they have high scientific value and significance.On the basis of field survey and detailed researches,the authors analyzed geological settings in the geopark and significance in depth.The results deduced by the authors can help understand the geoheritage resources in Zigong Global Geopark,and also provide a basis for the protection,development and utilization of geoheritage as well as the planning and management of the geopark.
