The periodically arranged dielectric or metaldielectric materials termed as "photonic crystals" [1-3]have many applications in high reflection mirrors,[4]optical filters,[5] all-optical routings[6] and storage of weak light signals.[7] The structure of these materials results in a formation of stop band gaps (SBGs),over which the photons are forbidden to propagate in the medium and large reflectivity emerges in a spectral range.
