摘要

Input and output in second language acquisition are closely related. Input is the essential preparation for output, while output is the purpose of input, and in turn promotes input. They complement each other and help to improve students’ linguistic competence. Comprehensible input and output are equally important in language learning. Therefore, it is unwise to ignore the roles of output in pedagogical situation.
