摘要

This paper discusses two different ways to understand categorization, which are classical theory and prototype theory.There is a deep exploration on how to understand categories, and different theoretical backgrounds of the two categorization theories. Furthermore, it reviews the limitations and advantages of both theories. And the comparison of the theories gives a clearer angle to understand their similarities and differences.
