In China's financial hub Shanghai,kitchen stoves now use a new energy source:shale gas,a clean energy that travels more than 1,600 kilometers to the city's homes via a series of pipelines.Shale gas is a type of unconventional natural gas trapped in a free or absorbed state in shale or mudstone formations.Shale gas is mainly composed of methane.It is considered a type of new clean energy source.
