摘要

Fanfiction is a new form of oral storytelling tradition in the computer age. Considered the English language and the popular culture, it is possible to apply English fanfiction in teaching reading and writing skills to EFL learners in China. This kind of digital literacies pedagogy is beneficial to language learners in the aspects of self-studying, communicating, and learning interest. However, the combination of new literacies and regular schooling might cause troubles for teachers and students.
