摘要

In literature, Romanticism is a movement that took place in the late 18 th and 19 th centuries. As a typical literary genre,poetry is the best medium to express all characteristics of Romanticism. Many distinguished poets, such as William Blake, William Wordsworth, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, have produced outstanding poems in this period. This paper aims to sketch concepts and characteristics of English poetry in the Romantic period.
