It is my great honour to deliver a welcome speech as the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Molecular Cell Biology (JMCB) and the Chair of JMCB Symposium 2018:Looking into Complex Diseases.Please allow me to borrow the words from the British writer Charles Dickens as follows: This is the best time for life science.So many important and novel findings in life science have been achieved.So many advanced techniques for biological study have been developed.Researchers not only uncover the secrets of life but also manipulate the properties of life.Researchers are able to provide the knowledge and power to meet various human requirements.People live longer and longer.
