99mTc is an ideal single-photon emitter,because of its favorable half-life(6.01 h),photon energy(140.5 keV),and radiopharmaceutical chemistry[1;2].It is reported that 99mTc has been used in about 30 million medical diagnostic procedures annually throughout the world[3].At present,most of 99mTc is produced from fission product 99Mo which obtained from the neutron irradiated 235U.The methodologies along with the separation of 99mTc from fission 99Mo indicates that availability of 99mTc is ensured in the form of the widely used 99Mo/99mTc alumina column generator.But up to now,the best alternative to the use of fission99Mo based alumina column generator has not yet been identified for widespread use.Thus,the study of 99Mo/99mTc alumina column generator is most essential.
