In 2018,the Atomic&Molecular Spectroscopy Group developed a new crystal X-ray spectrometer and made progress on ion-beam guiding experiment.Based on a flat HOPG(i.e.,highly oriented pyrolytic graphite)crystal,we constructed a high-efficiency X-ray spectrometer. The dimension of the HOPG is 50 mm25 mm2 mm,and the object and the image distances are both around 76 mm.The diffraction photons are sensed by an X-ray CCD(charge coupled device). The working angle covers a range from 25◦to 65◦,and the corresponding X-ray energy is 2.044.37 keV within first order of reflection and 4.088.74 keV within the second order of reflection.Due to the mosaic spread effect of HOPG crystal, its final efficiency is about one order of magnitude higher than traditional Si(111)crystal spectrometers.Furthermore,a bending-crystal HOPG X-ray spectrometer is under construction,in order to achieve even higher measuring efficiencies.
