摘要

According to the contemporary Western theory of Lefebvre, the space is divided into three levels: physical space, spiritual space and social space. After going through the toss of the physical space, the exile of the spiritual spaceas well as the dilemma of social space with the journey from Paris to Isle des Chevaliers, to New York, then to Eloe, and finally to Paris, Jadine in Tar Baby had broken the restriction of "dualism" andobtained the ethical identity and culture affiliation of ,"black&white", which will create a new path for the whole African-Americans to search for their ethnic identities and culture attributions.
