摘要

The Qianlong Emperor,after having carefully observed the longstanding practice of the existing Tibetan reincarnation system for an extended period of time,came to hold the belief that the system in question had the potential to play functions of the utmost importance for Tibet when delineating who would succeed the posts of the religious leadership.
