摘要

Precise geochronology is essential for constraining rates of sedimentary, biotic, climatic and magmatic pro-cesses over a wide range of timescales throughout Earth's history. Targets for high-precision geochronology include lavaflows or minerals from volcanic tuffs that are interbedded within sedimentary strata.
