Despite the complicated, changinglandscape of the world economy,Chinese consumers remainenthusiastic about spending, andconsumption remains a key enginedriving China’s economic growth.According to data released by theNational Bureau of Statistics of China,the country’s retail sales of consumergoods reached nearly 29.67 trillionyuan (US$4.22 trillion) in the firstthree quarters of this year, a yearon-year increase of 8.2 percent, withconsumption contributing 76.2 percentof GDP growth in 2018.
