摘要

MANY years ago, Fengdu was known for its poverty, legendary ghosts and long driving hours from the burgeoning downtown of Chongqing. In September 2011, when Cao Ling, who worked in the local government in Chongqing, first visited Fengdu, she couldn’t believe it that the county, with a population of 500,000, had only one cinema.
