摘要:
The consumption of fossil fuels keeps increasing and brings about the energy and environmental issues.It is of paramount importance to explore novel approaches to utilize the clean and renewable energy to-ward sustainable future.The rapid development of nanostructured ma-terials gives rise to a broad spectrum of emerging techniques for energy conversion and storage.A number of exciting results have been reported recently,unveiling some competent candidates and generating the broad interest of the energy community.As such,this special issue collects eight papers of high quality to summarize the state-of-the-art development and report the cutting-edge research in the field of energy conversion and storage.It contains five review papers and three research articles[1-8],spanning from the hybrid photovoltaic-thermal collector,solar cell,solar water splitting and carbon dioxide reduction to rechargeable aqueous aluminum ion battery with a wide range of bio-inspired nanostructured materials.The collections aim to guide and boost the future development of the energy field toward a sustainable world.
