摘要

Since the first report of air-and water-stable ionic liquids in 1992,the development of ionic liquids has taken a big step forward in both fundamental research and industrial applications with more than 20 years of joint efforts.The unique characteristics of ionic liquids render them attractive not only for function as solvents/catalysts but also for alternative roles across the fields of energy,environment,chemistry,and material processing,etc.At this moment,the field of ionic liquids would have stepping into a new era.
