Along with the continuous development of single-phase grounding fault location distribution network technology, based on single phase grounding fault location of fault indicator is currently with the method of applied signal source, so the applied signal for single-phase grounding fault location accuracy becomes particularly important, the ways, methods of signal source injection signal and stability of the single phase grounding fault location system design. This paper introduces the design of a dual-frequency signal source based on a low excitation impedance transformer. This signal source adopts a steady-state voltage source in the injection mode, which is less aff ected by branches. Moreover, the dual-frequency signal issuing mode provides a stable signal support for the fault location of line side fault indicators.
