摘要

China initiates a new round of measurement on the height of Mount Qomolangma,the world's highest peak,on April 30,2020.The remeasurement of the peak's height is a part of China's latest large-scale comprehensive scientific survey of Qomolangma.On May 27,the Chinese surveying team successfully reaches the summit of Mount Qomolangma and conducts surveys using devices such as the Global Navigation Satellite System and gravimeter.Since the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949,Chinese surveyors have conducted six rounds of scaled measurement and scientific research on Mount Qomolangma.
