From January 17 to 18,Chinese President Xi Jinping made a two-day state visit to Myanmar.It was President Xi’s first overseas trip this year and the first visit to Myanmar by a Chinese president in 19 years,making the event especially significant for future development of China-Myanmar relations based on a storied past considering it coincided with the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the two countries.The exceptionally significant visit has propelled the development of millennia-old“Paukphaw”(fraternal)friendship to evolve from a comprehensive strategic partnership to a community with a shared future in the new era.
