Safety is Paramount and Every Month is "Safety Production Month"

摘要

Before 1980, many state-owned enterprises were faced with problems of poor production safety, frequentcasualty accidents and serious occupational diseases for a long period.In order to make improvement and trigger vigor of the stated-owned enterprises, the work safety month (changed to "work safety week" in 1991-2001) was launched in May 1980 upon the approval of the State Council and on the joint decision of ten authorizes including the State Economic Commission, the State Construction Commission,the Office of the National Defense Industry, the Finance and Trade Group of the State Council, the All China Federation of Trade Union, and the Central Broadcasting Service Bureau.Since then, it has been determined that the safety production month activity will be carried out every June to as a regular and regulatory event.
