Food can represent the past,mark the places we visited and remind us of the people we met,so each new bite revives warm memories.Xinjiang,a Good Place is a popular song known across China.If you ask Wang Meng,a famed writer who spent many years in the region during the tumultuous 1960s and 70s,Ili in western Xinjiang is the best of the best.Its food is one reason he rates it so highly.
