Trapping light without absorbing it is of great importance for both science and technology.A conventional way for trapping light is to use some kind of reflecting surface or region, namely a mirror,to forbid light escaping.Following this key concept, various optical resonators had been demonstrated, such as whispering-gallery mode cavity, photonic crystal defect cavity, micro-ring resonator,etc.Differently, recent researches revealed that, perfect trapping of light can still be realized even out-going waves are allowed;or equivalently saying, discrete, localized, bound state with infinite lifetime can exist in the continuous spectrum of extended states.
