摘要

Since the first application of Robbins ?9. 0 m gripper tunnel boring machine(TBM) in Oahe Dam project in US, the large-diameter (over 9 m) rock TBM has become more and more popular around the world. As of now, there are 81 projects adopted or plan to adopt large-diameter rock TBMs, the total number of the TBMs reaches 131, and the accumulative construction length reaches more than 1000 km. The statistics on large-diameter rock TBM worldwide as of the end of now is shown in Table 1. The equipment application status of some projects is show in Table 2.
