摘要:
The climate of the Holocene (11,700 cal a BP) can provide insight into the growth and development of modern societies worldwide [1].In particular, the mid-Holocene (5000-8000 a BP) was a period of complex and intense climatic change [2].Traditionally, mid-Holocene climate has been reconstructed by stable oxygen and carbon isotope records from sediments, ice cores and corals [2,3].Blue holes are large caverns or sinkholes within oceans or lakes. The water trapped in these holes retains the characteristics of the initial ancient seawater and is therefore the key to understanding the past [4].
