摘要

Feminism is one of the most popular thoughts which have lasted for over 100 years. Gone with the Wind is one of the most important works in the history of feminism. The feminism work and feminism theories had a great impact on the development of feminism, helping more and more women seek for their legal rights. In this thesis, I will analyze the feminist thoughts in the main character—Scarlett with the help of androgyny philosophy of Virginia Woolf, the prominent harbinger of feminism. I will also discuss how modern women balance well between the two identities and finally get the conclusion that only we balance masculinity and femininity well can we live a happy life.
