The pragmatic competence of English majors plays a crucial role in students’English learning.Teachers should gradually improve students’pragmatic competence from the level of comprehensive English teaching,and promote their cross-cultural communication ability.Therefore,this paper further explores the improvement of the pragmatic competence of English majors,and gives a detailed analysis of the theoretical framework,the cases of pragmatic failure,and the measures to improve the pragmatic competence of English majors from the perspective of comprehensive English teaching.
