摘要:
Microfluidics refers to the technology that processes a small volume of fluids and exploits their specific properties at the sub-microliter scale in microchannels. When the fluid dimensions scale down to the microscale level, the specific surface area of the fluids increases, thus exhibiting behaviors divergent from those of the bulk fluids.Compared with the bulk systems, microfluidics tech-nology offers many salient advantages, such as rapid mass and heat transport, low reagents consumption, precise manipulation of flu-ids at microscale, homogeneous reactions,etc.[1,2].These features impart extensive application values to microfluidics, making it possible to exert a profound impact on chemical synthesis,envi-ronmental monitoring,bio-diagnosis,drug exploitation, and other fields. To date, multidisciplinary endeavors, including materials science, microelectronics, microanalysis, and micro-nano process-ing technology, have been continuously promoting the progress in microfluidics.Herein,we give a perspective covering the cut-ting-edge achievements in microfluidics in recent years,introduc-ing the frontiers in chip fabrication approaches, and listing the revolutionary applications, particularly in the biochemical analysis and materials fabrication(Fig.1).Based on these achievements,we would discuss the remaining challenges and future directions of microfluidics.
