摘要

Ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba L.) is a perennial deciduous tree of the Ginkgoaceae family, and its seeds (ginkgo nut) and leaves have high medicinal values.G.biloba was firstly recorded in Materia Medica in Shaoxin Medica;previous texts on Materia Medica have mostly listed ginkgo nuts.Since the 1960s, systematic and in-depth studies have been conducted in China and abroad on the chemical composition, pharmacological activity, and clinical application of G.biloba, mainly focusing on the development from and utilization of ginkgo leaves.G.biloba preparations are made from standardized leaves extract, and its effects include promoting blood circulation, resolving blood stasis, and clearing collaterals.Thus, it plays a key role in the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
